J1/J2 Coaches
Chris Young
Chris is a former RMST racer, who, before returning to coach in 2005, frequently helped set race courses and just have fun with the latest generation of racers. He has always been a stand-out young man who easily related to his teammates and now his racers. He has made the mountain his playground, and skiing his passion. He readily shares what he knows and as a physical education teacher in Chesterfield, he knows a lot! He has his Masters of Education and hopes to become New Hampshire’s youngest principal. In the meantime, he also coaches high school sports including the ski team at Nashua South along with RMST board member Bill Murphy. Chris has joined the ranks of the married with new wife Kim. In addition to his extensive college education, Chris is a USSA Level 100 Coach.Tyler Reisdorf
Tyler started going fast when he learned to ski at age three. He skied daily before entering elementary school, but still found time to join his mom after school for a few runs. At age 12 he became an apprentice ski instructor and continued instructing through high school, eventually becoming certified as a PSIA Level 1 instructor.Tyler began racing at age 9 and joined the Ragged Mountain Ski Team the following year. As he progressed as a racer, he competed in the Macomber Cup series, made the Tecnica Cup team, and competed in the annual Ragged Mountain Downhill, clocking in at 74 mph. For two consecutive years, Tyler was the only NH racer to compete in the MARA downhill finals at Sugarloaf. In 2005, Tyler was the first recipient of the Peter Bensley Scholarship Fund’s Special Achievement Award for exemplifying “teamwork, commitment, and sportsmanship.” He began coaching three years ago while still competing, but has since made a full time commitment to sharing his love of racing with others on the team. Well, not quite full time. He also is a junior at University of New Hampshire studying civil engineering. Tyler makes every aspect of skiing fun, and anyone who joins him on his mountain playground is guaranteed to have a blast!© 2007 RMST
